To Whom It May Concern:
I write this letter of recommendation not because it was requested, but because I offered.
I was a practicing attorney in Eugene for 25+ years. One of the areas of my practice was real estate law. I have met and dealt with hundreds of realtors in that time. I can say unqualifiedly that there is a huge difference in ability and commitment among realtors.
In November 2005, my wife and I tried to market one of our properties by ourselves. I believed that being an attorney and knowing how to do the required paperwork, we could sell it ourselves. Suffice it to say we showed the property to over thirty "interested" buyers in response to our FOR SALE BY OWNER sign in front of the house. Countless realtors solicited us for a listing.
Finally, we got smart. We discovered that an expert realtor was necessary for marketing and for closing the sale. After thoroughly checking out credentials, reputations, and marketing strategies, our choice of realtors was clear...Kim Heddinger. She and her assistant Lynell, helped us truly prepare the property for the current market.
After 6 months of being available with us in charge, Kim was at the helm and sold it in 5 days for 98% of our listing price. To our regret we didn't hire her from the very beginning.
Without qualification, my wife and I would recommend Kim Heddinger and her assistant, Lynell Stokes, as your realtors.
You may contact us if you wish.

The Dogs

When Kim Heddinger first entered the real estate business back in 1992, she knew she had to create a marketing point of difference, so that she would stand out in the crowd. Kim meshed her love for her Golden Retrievers with her love for selling real estate, and began marketing with her golden dogs click here for photo album. This turned out to be the beginning of a dynamic marketing gimmick known as "GoldenSold". Then in 2006, Kim and Lynell opened Golden Realty. This name exemplifies the high degree of excellence the company is founded on and continually strives to achieve. In addition, the Golden Retriever has a large influence in establishing the culture of this company, as they are the embodiment of loyalty, love and kindness. "Goldens" are well known for being polite, and highly intelligent. They exude charm and confidence. They are sweet, eager to please, always patient and friendly, and are devoted companions. The Golden name represents who we are as a firm and as individuals, strive to be. This is the core of Golden Realty's existence.

Crawford is the "Top Dog" and the token Labrador Retriever also known as the "Hairless Wonder" or "The Clown". Harlie

Harlie was born in 2004, and was supposed to stay with the breeder to become a show dog and be bred. However, her mischievous self stuck her face through a fence only to be met by a big dog that proceeded to pull her through the fence with her nose. Her injury left a scar that disqualified her from becoming a show dog, which left the breeders no choice but to find a new home for Harlie. She came "home" at 3 months of age and slowly developed a nasal problem that turned out to be a polyp that was then surgically removed. Because of her early health problems, she is a bit smaller than expected, which has earned her the nickname "Lil's". So, after a tragic beginning, this mini Golden Retriever is now a healthy ball of energy destined to take over as the leader of the Goldensold team.

| Pet of the Week:"Sophie" Please help Sophie!
My husband Paul, left for Afghanistan last weekend, so I’m caring for our 8 dogs by myself. Well, night before last, 3 of them were attacked by a cougar in our yard. It was a terrifying experience, but all of them lived. Unfortunately, they are requiring extensive care, and Nola (Paul’s dog) is especially torn up and has to go to the vet hospital twice a day. Now I have to walk all of the dogs because I won’t let them out in the yard, and even I’m afraid to go out after dark! As you can imagine, I’m feeling very alone and overwhelmed, but these dogs are so important to both me and Paul, so I’m committed to making it work.
Here’s the part I need help with...
I have a 9th little dog, Sophie that I am trying to find a new home for. Sophie is a very sweet one year old Pit Bull mix and typical of her breed and age, she has lots of energy, but is very smart and eager to learn. She is athletic and might be a great candidate for someone who wants to play Flyball or do agility. She likes other dogs and bonds quickly with people. She loves to snuggle, is crate trained, house trained and knows sit, come, and lay down. She walks well on a leash if you use a harness. Since I have had her, she has worked briefly with 2 wonderful trainers and has done well as the shop dog at one of my friend’s stores.
Please help me find Sophie a home or a foster home, I would be so grateful. She is a great dog and deserves her own family. If you know of someone who might like to add Sophie to their family – or someone who could just foster her for a little while – I would really appreciate your help.
For more information, Please call Katie Dyer, Director of Marketing and Development for Greenhill Humane Society 607-5007.
Greenhill is open to the public for animal adoption, Friday - Tuesday 11:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Closed Wednesdays and Thursdays.
